
City to remain under curfew on Thursday
Srinagar: In view of the prevailing situation in Kashmir the government has decided to clamp curfew in Srinagar on Thursday. “Curfew would be imposed from Wednesday night in the City and on Thursday the movement of the people will be strictly restricted,” Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Baseer Ahmad Khan told CNS adding that no movement of public or vehicles would be allowed in district Srinagar on Thursday.
“In view of law and order situation and to avoid breach of peace and tranquility and damage to life and property, and in exercise of the powers vested to District Magistrate under Section 144 CrPC strict restrictions have been imposed on the movement of public and transport in entire district Srinagar from midnight of March 13, till further orders,” he said and added that Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Srinagar has been directed to implement this order in letter and spirit.
