MTI blames selected Bureaucrats for helping Christian Missionaries Some NGO’s for monetary benefits helps these Missionaries in their mission
Blaming some selected Bureaucrats in administration for shielding and supporting Christian Missionaries in Kashmir Valley, ‘Majlis Tahfuz Imaan’ (MTI), headed by Mirwaiz Molvi Mohammad Umar Farooq Tuesday alleged that Christian missionaries in Kashmir were luring “naïve” Muslim boys and girls with money and other incentives to convert to Christianity.
According to CNS, an important meeting of MTI was held in Srinagar in which scores of clerics, religious scholars and separatist leaders participated and criticized the role of Christian missionaries in Kashmir Valley. “We warn these anti-Islam elements to stop their conversion activities. If you will not change your policies then be ready to face the music,” MTI said.
In the meeting, it was claimed that a Christian from Kellam Kerala, Neti Rajan along with his wife is quite active in Kashmir and the couple leaves no stone unturned in luring the poor and naïve Muslim people. “We are after him but he is being shielded by some influential bureaucrats. He (Neti Rajan) along with his convert wife are busy in luring Muslim people but we will soon expose this couple,” an MTI member told CNS.
MTI criticized the government for encouraging these missionaries and said that the government never takes cognizance of their activities. “There is a selected group of bureaucrats in the administration who help these Christian Missionaries. How is it possible that these people can live for such a long time merely on a tourist visa. Why the government doesn’t take note of their activities and allow them to reside in Valley for such a long time,” MTI questioned.
MTI alleged that ‘All State South Korean Missionaries’ (ASSKM) enter Valley in the garb of tourists and spread Christianity in a planned manner. “The workers of ASSKM are residing in different parts of Valley including Islamabad, Pulwama, Budgam, Jawaharnagar and Sadrabal areas of Srinagar and they remain quite active round the clock,” MTI members during the meeting said.
Taking a dig on some Non-Governmental Organizations, MTI said that some NGO’s for sake of monetary benefits extend their help to these Christian Missionaries. MTI warned such NGO’s and claimed that if these organizations will not do away with their activities, MTI will expose them and they will certainly face the wrath of the public.
MTI also issued stern warning against those people who have already got converted and are taking part in Missionaries activities. “We have ample proof about such converts and their activities and if they will not stop their activities, MTI will soon expose them before the people,” MTI said.
MTI has decided to soon convene a meeting to educated people about the activities and policies of Christian Missionaries. “MTI would take Ulema into confidence and devise a strategy to save the nation from this cancer. We hope the Ulema would rise above differences and extend their full cooperation in fighting these conspiracies.” (CNS)
