
Amarnath Yatra begins
All arrangements in place: DC Ganderbal
Annual Amarnath Yatra commenced Friday with first batch of pilgrims being flagged off from Jammu by Tourism Minister.
Meanwhile government said all arrangements are in place for smooth conduct of Yatra.
District Commissioner Ganderbal Sarmad Hafeez said the Yatries are scheduled to reach Baltal by this evening. “Baltal camp is very much place with requisite facilities and the track to cave shrine is perfectly fine,” Hafeez said.
He hailed the locals saying: “Yatra is run by locals they are people who have been doing it for decades.”
