The street protests against Israeli aggression on Palestine continued across Kashmir Monday, with students, employees, lawyers and doctors hitting the streets to seek immediate end to the Gaza bloodbath.
Showing no signs of letting down, Israel unleashed more airstrikes on Gaza Monday in continuation to its week-long assault that has claimed nearly 175 innocent lives.

STUDENT PROTESTS
Hundreds of students from various educational institutions staged protest demonstrations in Kashmir areas to express solidarity with the people of Gaza. In the morning, hundreds of students from Srinagar colleges and schools assembled at Press Enclave and chanted pro-Palestine slogans. The protest was followed by a joint demonstration by female students of various schools and colleges.
The students later assembled at Clock Tower in LalChowk and raised slogans like ‘Gaza KeMujahido Hum TumhareSaathHai (O Warriors of Gaza, we are with you)’; ‘Down Down Israel’, ‘Save Gaza’, ‘Aik Se BadkarAikZaleel, America Aur Israel’ and ‘Down with friends of Israel.’ They urged the Muslim countries to get united to save innocent lives in Gaza.
“The Jewish forces are committing genocide of Muslims in Gaza because Muslim countries are silent about it,” said Muhammad Owais, a student. “We urge all Muslim countries to get united and carry out joint bombardment of Israel.”
Chanting pro-Palestine and anti-Israel slogans, the students gave slip to cops at Press Enclave here and staged demos on the busy Residency Road. The students held placards which read: ‘Save Gaza, stop killings’. They walked over the Jahangir Chowk fly-over and displayed the placards urging people to boycott the Israeli products.
The students then marched towards Amira Kadal via BudshahChowk and reached the Regal Chowk where they dispersed peacefully.
Students of Degree College Sopore also led a massive anti-Israel demonstration. Also, hundreds of students in Pulwama town held massive protest demonstrations against the Israeli aggression. The students of Boys Degree College Pulwama marched through the streets of the town and demanded immediate halt to attacks on innocent Palestinians

EJAC PROTEST
Earlier, police foiled the protest march by the Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC) led by Abdul QayoonWani at Press Enclave here. The protesters expressed solidarity with the people of
Palestine. As they tried to march towards the UNMOGIP office at Sonwar here, a huge contingent of police—deployed on the streets—stopped them from marching ahead. The protesters showed stiff resistance and tried to move ahead, but police swung into action and detained Wani and some other employees.

BAR ASSOCIATION PROTEST
Police also foiled an anti-Israel protest march of the High Court Bar Association. The protesting lawyers were not allowed to come out from the Lower Court premises. The HCBA president Mian Abdul Qayoom told reporters that the protest was held to express solidarity with the people of Gaza and denounce the Israeli aggression.
The Bar Association Anantnag also held a protest demonstration against the Israeli aggression on Palestine. The lawyers assembled in the District Court Complex and started marching towards LalChowk. They were carrying anti-Israel placards and banners.
