Travel on city roads has become a tortuous affair: Karra
Expressing dismay over the escalating traffic mismanagement in Srinagar and other towns, senior PDP leader and Member Parliament,Tariq Hameed Karra Monday said travel on city roads has become a tortuous affair as a callous state government seems to be unconcerned about the miserable plight of the people.
In a statement Karra said getting stuck up in traffic snarls on almost all the city roads and intra-district junctions has become a routine affair as an inept state government couldn’t address the issue during the past 6 years of its disastrous rule.
He said it is ironic that even during the holy month of Ramadhan when people want to get to their homes before Iftaar, they have to spend hours together in frustrating traffic snarls.
