Killing of Youth
A complete shutdown was observed in Palhallan and Kreeri for the third consecutive day against the killing of a Palhalan youth in Suipora Kreeri on Wedensday. Reports said all the shops were closed and the normal life was badly affected.
In Palhallan, the native place of the slain youth, the authorities had deployed police in strength to avoid any unrest in the area.
Police on Wedensday recovered the body of Mudasir Ahmad Sofi, a resident of Palhallan Pattan from a residential house in Suipora Kreeri.
Police had claimed that Mudasir had recently joined militant ranks and was involved in the assault on a cop and riffle snatching incident in Pattan last weak.
