New Delhi left Kashmiris to die in floods: Geelani

Slamming policy makers of New Delhi for their ‘indifference’, Chairman Hurriyat (G) Syed Ali Geelani Monday said ‘at the time of floods, they left Kashmiris to die and after the deluge they are forced people to die of starvation.’
According to a Hurriyat (G) statement issued today, Geelani said, “the communal rulers of India are very much satisfied with the situation in Kashmir and want Kashmiris to struggle for decades for their rehabilitation and be forced to live a miserable life.”
Hurriyat (G) Chairman said, “Policy makers of India do not want international aid to reach the flood affected people of J&K. They view that poverty will bring down the freedom sentiments of Kashmiris and they will compromise over the Indian slavery.”
Geelani, however, said, “This attitude of India during and after the floods has strengthened the resolve of Kashmiris and have vindicated our belief that India only wants land and has nothing to do with the difficulties of its people.”
Meanwhile, a delegation led by Tehreek-e-Hurriyat (TeH) general secretary, Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai today visited flood hit areas of Islamabad like Tulkhan, Kanjigund, Naibasti, Khanbal and Dangerpora and distributed relief material among the affected people.
A team of TeH distributed ration kits and other relief material among the flood-hit people of Suthrashahi.
