Customer gets fake currency note from ATM
A delegation of bank customers Tuesday alleged that fake currency is being circulated by several ATMs here.
Atiqa Dar, a customer accompanied by several other customers, who visited Greater Kashmir office today said that after withdrawing Rs 5000 from an ATM, she found a fake note of Rs 500. Showing the receipt of her transaction made at JK Bank ATM at Dhobi Ghat Batamaloo here, she added: “I used my ATM card at 3:40 PM and my transaction number is 3196.” Meanwhile, the customers appealed J&K chairman to look into the matter and ensure that “ATMs don’t become the medium for circulation of fake currency.”
