People of Kashmir aware of RSS intentions: Geelani

Hurriyat Conference (G) chairman Syed Ali Geelani today said that Kashmirs were aware about the intentions of RSS and its political outfit, BharatiyaJanata Party.
“We are aware about their intentions and their conspiracies are no more hidden. They are promoting horse trading and trying to bribe voters by offering incentives. It is highly shameful for contesting parties that they overlooked the sufferings of flood victims and hurriedly jumped into election fray. Their priorities are quite different and their approach proved their insensitivity towards flood victims,” Geelani said in a statement.
“People are at liberty whether to vote or stay away from the election drama but authorities strangulated the voices of resistant camp and by dint power arrested all pro-freedom leaders and other activists. Therefore, it justifies our stand that we should boycott the forthcoming elections.”
Referring to NarendraModi government, Geelani said, “Modi’s policy, approach and track record vis-à-vis Muslims show that he is not minority friendly. During his tenure as chief minister in Gujarat over 3000 members of Muslim community were brutally killed and many burnt to death. Besides, properties of thousands of Muslims were looted and set to fire. A parliamentarian Ehsan Jafri along with 67 other Muslims were killed by communal forces. NarendraModi is a staunch and a basic member of RSS and BJP and propagates the fundamentals propounded by RSS.  Their anti-Muslim stance and objectives are no more hidden and their main objective is to make India a Hindu Rashtra. After taking the seat of power at Delhi they have changed their strategy, charged situation with their fanatic ideology and have adopted power politics to fulfill their agenda. They do not follow a fair policy with respect to Kashmir. They are hell-bent to exploit power and pursue suppressive policy against people of Kashmir,” said Geelani.
“In view of their ant-Kashmiris policies, it is all the more important for all people of the state irrespective of their religion to boycott the upcoming assembly polls in the state. We hope that all sections of people including Hindus, Sikhs, Bodh and Christians will boycott the election drama,” Geelani said.
