Nasir’s son in pictures with AK-47
Stirring another controversy for senior National Conference (NC)leader Nasir Aslam Wani, pictures of his son, Sadaat Wani, brandishing an AK-47 gun in the valley have gone viral.
The pictures show his son standing and posing with the gun next to armed personnel.
Reports said the son of NC leader had uploaded the pictures on social networking site in past but later de-activated the account. But the pictures re-surfaced generatingcontroversy.
“This is an old picture. Even film stars post such picture on their social networking accounts. There is no harm in it,” Nasir told media.
“Pictures have been blown out of proportion. Nasir Aslam’s son was only posing with a gun and was not threatening anyone,” an NC leader said.
Nasir, a close aide of chief minister Omar Abdullah, was recently in the midst ofcontroversy himself after pictures of him kicking a party worker surfaced. The incident took place in Ganderbal. NC leader later denied the incident and said the video footage was doctored.
