PDP resists Omar’s ‘pressure tactics’

•    Says people voted for change
•    ‘If masses would have wanted NC Govt, they would have voted for it’

Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Tuesday accused Omar Abdullah of resorting to pressure tactics and playing mind games.
PDP chief spokesman Naeem Akhtar said Omar failed to pressurize PDP by resigning as the care taker chief minister. “NC is power hungry party and Omar is resorting to mind games”.
“People have voted for change and against national conference. I can tell you  that Governor rule is better than alliance of PDP and NC. We could have considered this option but the clear picture is that people have voted against NC and it has been the worst regime ever in the state,” he said.
Akhtar said people are celebrating that Omar government has gone.
On back-channel talks with BJP, he said informal talks have been going on and doors for the talks with Congress are also open.
“It is ironical that the party that has been rejected by the people is eager than others to be the part of the government. The present actions of Omar are nothing but the pressure tactics to compel PDP to take wrong step. We take the right decision and right time,” added Akhter.
