Syed Geelani stable post hospitalization
Hardline separatist leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani suffered a minor heart attack at his Malviya Nagar residence in New Delhi yesterday morning.
Geelani complained of substernal chest pain, after which he was rushed to Max Hospital, his party said in a statement.
Doctors conducted his medical examination and heart attack was confirmed on electrocardiogram. He was put up in the intensive care unit of the hospital and was being administered oxygen.
Family sources said the ailing separatist leader was taken to a private hospital in the morning for routine health check-up.
On return to his residence, he suffered heart attack, they said. He was driven to Max Hospital, where doctors stated that his condition was stable.
