Lolab continues to boil, 8 Injured 1 Critical; 02 Youth Injured in Sogam, 01 Critical shifted to Srinagar
8 persons sustained injuries after police and forces used force on protesters in Lolab area of Kupwara district, reports said on Wednesday. One critically injured has been shifted to Srinagar for specialized treatment, sources said.
They said that he has received a tear smoke shell in his abdomen. Local doctors who shifted him to Srinagar said that the shell has resulted in rupturing his spleen critically. 7 others having received pellets in the ongoing clashes at Lalpora have been evacuated to hospital. Meanwhile, the arrest of a youth from Fatehpora, in Ganderbal district allegedly involved in stone pelting, triggered protests on Wednesday.
Two youths were injured during clashes in Lassipora area of Sogam in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Wednesday. One of the injured youths, identified as 22-year-old Shabir Ahmad Lone, was shifted to District Hospital Kupwara where from he was referred to Srinagar advanced treatment.
A hospital official said that Lone’s spleen ruptured after being hit by a teargas shell.
