Pro-Freedom rallies attacked by forces resulting in Violent clashes in Anantnag, Shopian injuring scores
At least nine persons were injured in Anantnag district Fatahpore area after government forces foiled a freedom rally resulting in clashes. Local sources informed Kashmir Post that government forces used pellets and tear smoke shells to disperse the stone pelting protesters.
Protests were going on when reports last came in.
Over 100 people have been injured in the ongoing clashes between people and government forces in clashes in Shopian. People have also set newly built DC office Shopian on fire.
On Sunday morning government forces including police and paramilitary men foiled a pro-freedom rally in Penjoora village of Shopian.
