Another youth killed in Anantnag, toll mounts to 78
Another youth was killed during clashes between the government forces and protesters in south Kashmir district of Anantnag on Saturday taking the death toll to 78.A youth identified as Yawar Ahmad Dar son of Mushtaq Ahmad Dar resident of Botengoo, Anantnag received pellets on his chest during clashes, locals sources said.
He was shifted to District Hospital Anantnag where he succumbed. Clashes had erupted in Botengoo, area of Anantnag soon after government forces tried to raid residential houses and arrest youth, sources said.
12 injured in Qazigund clashes
At least a dozen persons were injured in clashes with forces in Nasoo Badragund village of Qazigund in south Kashmir on Saturday. Witnesses and reports said that clashes erupted after forces allegedly vandalised the venue of a proposed pro-freedom rally.
