Keep off anti-Islamic activities, Western wear, warn Hizb posters

Mysterious posters of militant outfit Hizbul Mujahideen have warned people against indulging in anti-Islamic activities and also asked girls to desist from wearing western wear.
The posters have been put up at Kangan village in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district.
“The Hizbul Mujahideen wants to inform the people of Jammu and Kashmir that on the one hand our youth are making sacrifices but on the other hand some people are involved in anti-Islamic activities. Youth have become addicted to drinking, charas and other drugs. Young boys and girls are involved in immorality and obscenity. Our sisters and daughters are wearing western outfits and dresses similar to those seen in television serials,” read a poster.
The posters in Urdu have asked the people to desist from “immoral” activities. “Youth should not roam during evening hours on streets without a reason,” warned a poster.
Ganderbal SSP Imtiaz Ismail Parray said they were ascertaining the authenticity of the posters. “We are verifying the authenticity of the poster which was found in Hyan Kangan,” Parray said.
