“All CEOs are also put with the instructions that they will not countersign any certificate or document of any Private School affiliated to CBSE New Delhi,” reads the order.
Pertinently, that Minto Circle School Srinagar, officials alleged was “fleecing” parents by asking them to pay CBSE charges towards the school three years prior to its affiliation with the CBSE.
Already reported, the School Fee Fixation Committee (SFFC) served a show cause notice to Minto Circle, English Medium High School Allouchi Bagh, Srinagar for “illegally charging CBSE charges” from students for the past three years.
Officials said the show-cause notice was issued to the school by SFFC in wake of a complaint registered by parents against the school who have complained that the institution was charging an amount of Rs 300 per students for three years while it has no affiliation with CBSE.
The officials said the school management had admitted before SFFC that it was charging the amount without being affiliated to CBSE. “This act of school management clearly amounts to cheating and causing wrongful gain to itself and wrongful loss to the students,” reads the notice issued by SFFC on July 17
