No Jamhuriyat, Insaniyat in Kashmir

In this contemporary periodicity, killings in Kashmir are supported by the sportsperson and other celebs of this democratic country. Since one week, 10 persons have been killed in the valley and during this chaos only one video became the main point of attraction for the populace of India. In that video CRPF were teased but not harmed severely like they killed the students and children of teenage at a point range. And there is no doubt for calling them ‘ target killings.
Rightly said by Sumantra Bose in her Book : ‘Kashmir’s democratic aspirations were thus callously sacrificed at the altar of the ‘nation’ to which Kashmiris were expected to be loyal. ‘
The Bypoll election percentage was more shocking news for both Indian government and its populace rather than the death of 8 Kashmiris. Repolling was the example to prove their stand on Kashmir. If Indian home minister Rajnath singh wishes or plans to transform Jammu and Kashmir State, then first they should start providing justice to the families who lost their loved ones. They boldly talk about the insaniyat and the so called jamhuriyat, which never exist at the grassroots level in the valley.
An act of human shielding is the large example to reflect their circle of democracy and humanity. Irrespective of condemning this action of army, Indian media justified it. Every time they scuttle the sentiments of Kashmiris under the blankets of their nepotism and chauvinistic ideology. The ethics of journalism is too far to compare with their duplicituos attitude.
In Kashmir, the face of contemporary nationalism is purely changed to the core. Even the young boys and girls are known to the tyranny and injustice. And they aren’t ready to accept any sort of statement except the solution to the Kashmir issue. The hatred which is deep and deepening among the Kashmir populace is the mere reflex action of the Indian civil war against them.
The stage has reached in Kashmir where the ignorance towards the issue is not acceptable. Duping statements of Indian politicians are not going to change the ground truths of Kashmir. From the establishment of a Muslim conference to this date, only one word is vibrating on every mouth “freedom from tyrants”. Kashmir bloodbath is not less than the Syria. Children of this conflict are not going to rest their mental and physical state until they unfurl the flags of justice against the open war against the people of Kashmir.
In the dubious processes of Indian government, Kashmiris were denied even basic rights, leave alone any right of ‘freedom”. Even intellectuals of the society also believe that colossal and persistent failure of Indian democracy, justified and rationalised through invocations of the ‘interest’ and ‘integrity’ of the Indian nation by power-hungry and self aggrandising elites, has, thus engendered the struggle for ‘self-determination’ in Kashmir today.
Peace was never tried in Kashmir by the inhumane rulers. They always tried to replace the guns with pellet guns and pellet guns with PAVA shells. But never tried for once to replace the inhumanity and violence with peace.
