Massive clashes erupt in Anantnag, Passenger cab rolls down in Banihal injuring 7 Persons

Massive clashes erupted on Friday between youth and government forces in old town area of Anantnag district of south Kashmir.
Reports said that as soon as the news of the killing of Hizb militant Yawar Nissar and a civilian spread clashes erupted at Lal Chowk, Malakhnag, Chinni Chowk, Reshi Bazaar, Sherpora, Janglat Mandi and Achabal bus terminal areas of old town of the district.

Youth from the areas started protesting, however, police and paramilitary forces fired several teargas canisters to disperse them, triggering massive clashes in the areas.
Intense clashes were going on in the area when last reports came in.

At least seven passengers were injured after a cab rolled down from a bridge in Banihal area of Jammu’s Ramban district on Friday.
A passenger cab bearing registration no JK09A-2527 was coming from Srinagar towards Jammu when it met with an accident at Shalghari Nullah bridge near Banihal and rolled down 70 feet from a bridge, resulting in injuries to seven passengers.

All the seven injured were taken to Sub District Hospital Banihal where their condition is stated to be stable.
Police has registered a case in this regard.
