Fresh braid chopping incidents reported from several places across Kashmir
In a first incident of its kind, unidentified persons snatched gold chain from a woman after chopping off her braid in Magam area of Budgam district.
Reports said that two persons masquerading as beggars entered into a house at Mulbushan village. “While finding the woman alone in the house, they sprayed something on her face, rendering her unconscious. The criminals not only stole her gold chain but also chopped off her braid,” the reports said.
The incident triggered panic in the village.
In another incident, braid chopping occurred at Laddi village in Shopian district.
Meanwhile, a braid chopping incident was reported in SaderkootBala area of Bandipora late on Monday evening. A police official said that unknown women chopped off braid of a 17-year-old girl outside her home at around 7.30 pm.
