Thundershowers, Isolated rain likely over J&K in next 24 hours

Isolated rain and thundershowers are expected over the parts of Jammu and Kashmir during the next 24 hours, Skymetweather.com reported on Monday.
The weather portal reported that presently, a ‘feeble Western Disturbance is seen over northern parts of Jammu and Kashmir.’
“Due to this weather system, isolated rain and thundershowers are expected over northern districts of Jammu and Kashmir region during the next 24 hours,” the report said.
It said places such as Kupwara, Srinagar, Baramulla, Kargil will witness scattered rains within the span of next 24 hours.
“After 24 hours, the intensity of these rains is further likely to reduce over northern parts of Jammu and Kashmir and thereafter, dry weather conditions are expected to prevail over entire Hills of North India including Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand for next few days,” the weather report said.
Districts such as Katra, Doda, Kathua and Rajouri will witness dry weather conditions during the similar time frame, it said.
Day temperatures are expected to rise significantly and reach about 33-35 degrees Celsius while nights will continue to remain cool and pleasant. In addition, sky conditions are likely to become partly cloudy over the entire region, it added.
During the month of September and larger part of October, dry and warm weather conditions prevailed over the entire region of Jammu and Kashmir state.
