Grenade attack at Hari Singh High street, 03 Civilians injured
At least three civilians including two women have been injured in a grenade explosion at Hari Singh High Street area of commercial hub Lal Chowk on Tuesday.
Official sources said that suspected militants lobbed a grenade towards 40 battalions of SSB near Hanuman Mandir here at Hari Singh High Street.
They said two women among three civilians have sustained injuries, adding that they were shifted to SMHS hospital for treatment. “The area has been cordoned off to nab the attackers,” they said.
Meanwhile, Kishore Prasad, DIG CRPF for Central Kashmir told reporters that the militants targeted the SSB party by hurling the grenade that exploded on the road. “Two to three civilians have received minor injuries. The area has been cordoned off and searches are going on,” he said.
