Security in Kashmir deteriorated since abrogation of Article 370: Congress

The attack has come amid BJP’s social media campaign counting achievements of the Modi government on the completion of 8 years.

Congress on Tuesday slammed the BJP-led Central government saying that the security scenario in Kashmir has deteriorated since the abrogation of Article 370.

The grand old party further claimed that Kashmiri Pandits and non-locals have become more vulnerable and unsafe in Kashmir under the BJP-led central rule.

The attack has come amid BJP’s social media campaign counting achievements of the Modi government on the completion of 8 years.

Meanwhile, the development also comes as Kashmiri Hindu government employees have been protesting against the killing of a Hindu woman teacher Rajni Bala, who was shot dead by terrorists in Kashmir’s Kulgam district on May 31.

Last month, two civilians and three off-duty policemen were killed in Kashmir by terrorists.

The spate of targeted killings in Kashmir started in May, which included that of Rahul Bhat, a clerk, who was shot dead inside the tehsildar’s office in Budgam district’s Chadoora.

Three of the victims in eight such incidents in Kashmir since May 1 were off-duty policemen while five were civilians.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday held a meeting with Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and other top officials on security in Jammu and Kashmir.
