The US asserts that India and Pakistan hold sole responsibility for deciding the talks regarding the Kashmir Issue

Pakistan raised the issue of Kashmir at every major international forum. But he/she has to eat his/her mouth. Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto himself created a sensation by saying that the countries of the world do not listen to Pakistan on Kashmir. Meanwhile, America has given a big statement regarding Kashmir. The US has said that India and Pakistan should engage in constructive dialogue on the issue of Kashmir.

The US President Joe Biden administration said that the US supports meaningful and constructive diplomacy between India and Pakistan. When US State Department spokesperson Ned Price was asked about this, he/she said in his/her reply that what should be the nature of talks on the issue of Kashmir, it is up to both the countries to decide. In this way, America has made it clear that the Kashmir issue is not an international issue but an issue of both the countries, which both the countries can solve through diplomatic initiative.

However, Ned Price said that the US was ready to play a role if both countries wanted it. Price, however, ruled out the possibility of the US playing any role of a mediator in the talks between India and Pakistan.

America’s supporter of diplomacy
Ned Price said in the media briefing, ‘They (India and Pakistan) can decide on their own in this regard. If they want, America is ready to play a special role. Price was asked, ‘Analysts believe that the US has the power and authority to mediate between the two partners. Pakistan and India are your partners, so why don’t you play the role of a mediator?’ In response, he/she said, ‘Ultimately the US does not determine the process under which India and Pakistan should hold talks with each other. We support constructive dialogue and meaningful diplomacy between India and Pakistan to resolve long-standing conflicts.

India and US strategic partners
In response to another question, Price said that India is a global strategic partner of America. “These relationships are political, diplomatic, economic, security, and most importantly people-to-people relationships,” Price said.

Pakistan will not participate in SCO summit to be held in India
Pakistan has decided on Thursday that it will stay away from a program of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) to be held in India. In such a situation, many meanings are being extracted from this statement of Price. A meeting of Chief Justices of SCO countries is going to be held from 10 to 12 March in the national capital of India, New Delhi. Pakistan is the only SCO country which will stay away from this conference.
