Fatal Crash in North Kashmir: Two Dead, One Injured

Srinagar, Aug 05: Two girls died and a person was injured after a vehicle they were travelling in fell into a deep gorge along the Handwara-Bangus road, officials said Monday. As per officials, the victims were on a picnic and are believed to be siblings, however, their relation is not confirmed yet.

They said that the car turned turtle and fell into a deep gorge along the Handwara-Bangus road.

One of girls identified as Saba Shafi, daughter of Mohammad Shafi Baba, resident of Pantha Chowk Srinagar died on the spot and the two others, identified as Aliza and Nooran Ahmad Baba sustained injuries, reported news agency KNC.

The injured were taken to NTPHC Qalamabad from where they were referred to GMC Handwara for enhanced treatment.

“However soon after admission, Aliza also succumbed to her injuries while Nooran Ahmad is undergoing treatment,” the officials said.
