Javid Amin A young entrepreneur from Kashmir, a personality of multi-talents and being among the pioneers of bringing the Core Information Technology world especially Web Development related paradigms to Kashmir. Hailing from a middle-class family, his inclination towards technology started in his teenage. Not born with a silver spoon in his mouth but has earned everything with his hard work and diligence.

He founded Kashmir eServices an information technology company providing information technology and allied services to Kashmir Valley in particular and across the globe in general. The company was founded during mid 2000 to cater growing demands of web development, later with the passage of time moved into media (Offline & Online) then got associated with travel industry, recently founded eCommerce venture called Kashmir Store an online store which also made much of a difference in the market attracting people from all across the globe giving quality products from across the Jammu & Kashmir at the most affordable cost as well promoting Kashmir Centric Products globally.

Instead of reiterating about the challenges and hurdles coming in his way, he defied them all with all his passion and vigor to emerge as a competent businessman. He faced issues like the complete shutdown of the internet for over a year and defied other challenges coming in his way to emerge as a successful entrepreneur.

In an exclusive interview he talks to Saika Maqbool.

You started developing house in early as 2000, how was the experience like?
Well the credit of this long journey goes to my ex-boss, my mentor Mr. Yasir Kazmi, its because of him I moved in this field. Yes it is a quite pertinent question and to be frank enough back then some more than 16 years ago not just websites the whole Information technology world was seen as some magical thing and people were quite alien about the same and had almost no knowledge of website or even internet world.

The challenge was quite firm but I enjoyed it and it is warming to note today many youngsters are in the field that we once pioneered here.

How was the customer behavior with reference to web development during those days?
The people here had very less idea about the ins and outs of website world and it was at times quiet funny but at the same time quite tricky to make them understand the same.

Kashmir eServices is among the first few Information Technology concerns of Kashmir, we are proud that we where the first few people who introduced the web development and designing in Kashmir and have proudly developed hundreds of website locally as well world over. What are the main challenges faced by the businessman like you currently?

As you are well aware the Kashmir situation is quite grim as a result of which the business is not moving ahead in the right direction, the worsening scenarios are taking a toll on every business activity and our Tourism, Web Development, Ecommerce, Media everything is worst hit. The overall business situation due to frequent uncertainty is killing business in Kashmir.
