Let Sajad Lone hold a rally; Omar Abdullah

Let Sajad Lone hold a rally; Omar AbdullahTo a question that Peoples Conference Chairman and cabinet Minister in JK Government, Sajad Lone, has said that only five percent of Kashmir population was protesting on roads, Omar Abdullah responded saying if such was the situation, let him (Lone) hold a public rally in Kashmir.
“If he can go home and spend a day or two in Handwara or Kupwara I will accept what he has said it right,” said Omar, targeting Lone. “The strange thing is that in 2010 the same fellow saw the entire Kashmir in uprising and today he says it is only five percent population and that too manipulated by Facebook.”

Omar said: “What Facebook (is Lone talking about)? We don’t have internet, we don’t have access to our cell phones most of the time. What you see in J&K today is spontaneous expression of deep anger and it is not small. Instead it encompasses entire rural belt of Kashmir,” said Omar.
“In fact Srinagar has been relatively quiet this time compared to rural Kashmir. Therefore to suggest that this is only five percent of population is huge underestimation of the problem and that is why there is so much of highhandedness because they (government) refuses to acknowledge the problem,” said Omar.
