ISIS, Pak Flags Waved Again In Kashmir

After Pakistani and LeT flags, protesters in Kashmir’s Srinagar once again dared the security establishment by waving ISIS flags and raised pro-Pakistan slogans.

ISIS, Pak Flags Waved Again In KashmirThe flags were waved near the Srinagar’s historic Jamia Masjid in Nowhatta, which is considered as a hot bed of separatist activities.

According to reports, the protesters blocked the road near the Jamia Masjid in old city Srinagar and raised pro-Pakistan slogans besides waving ISIS and Pakistan flags.

The protesters also pelted stones at police and paramilitary forces.

The incident took place soon after a rally was carried out by MIrwaiz Umar Farooq, who heads the moderate faction of Hurriyat Conference.

According to reports, Hurriyat Hardliner Syed Ali Shah Geelani had called for protests after Friday prayers in the wake of recent killing of Hurriyat worker by unknown gunmen in north Kashmir’s Sopore town.

However, this is not for the first time when such activities have taken place in Kashmir. In Past few months, waving Pakistani flags or raising pro-Pakistan slogans have become a routine story in every separatist led rally in Kashmir.

Even hardline Hurriyat leader, Masarat Alam who was released by the Mufti government soon after assuming power, was again put behind bars after he shouted pro-Pakistan slogans and his supporters waved Pakistan flags in a rally organized by him to welcome Geelani to Srinagar after spending winter months in Delhi.
