Government officials yesterday seized expired drugs from a Primary Health Centre (PHC) in Tangmarg area of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
Officials informed that during a surprise visit to Primary Health Centre (PHC) Hariwatnoo, Sub District Magistrate (SDM) Tangmarg Sheikh Abdul Qayyum along with SDPO Tangmarg Rameez and Tehsildar Tangmarg found expired medicines in the dispensary section of PHC.Some flood affected medicine was also found in the PHC.
“Today we seized expired drugs from dispensary section of PHC Hariwatnoo. Medicines were kept in dispensary for a long time. Patients were not been given these medicines in time,” SDM said.
“Strict action will be taken against the guilty, I will write to concerned BMO to place the storekeeper under suspension,” SDM added
