Jaipur varsity stops hostel facility for J&K students: No funds

A disappointing incident happened with youth of Jammu and Kashmir studying in Rajasthan as students enrolled at Suresh Gyan Vihar University, Jaipur, were barred from hostel facility.
The letter, issued by Deputy Registrar of the university to students of J&K, reads: “The scholarship under the Prime Minister’s Special Scholarship Scheme, which should have been dispatched by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), has not been received yet. Now, the institution has been bearing a huge loss and has not received a single penny from the government. The university will no longer be able to provide financial support to students for food and accommodation from August 2017 and they are directed to look for private accommodation.”
Randeep Kumar, a student from Kishtwar, who is also enrolled at Suresh Gyan Vihar University, apprised the problem of students to Prakash Singh Dadwal, leader of the National Students’ Union of India (NSUI), Jammu & Kashmir.
“Hundreds of students have been trapped by agents of various colleges but after one or two years, when AICTE did not grant scholarship in students’ favour, the college authorities forced them to pay the fees,” Randeep Kumar said
