Promise Fulfilled, But Fight Doesn’t Stop Here: MP Ruhullah on Assembly’s Resolution

Srinagar, Nov 06: Member of Parliament from Srinagar constituency, Aga Ruhullah Mehdi, expressed his satisfaction with the government led by Omar Abdullah for fulfilling its promise by moving the resolution on special status in the J&K Legislative Assembly.

During the assembly proceedings, Mehdi, who was present in the house, addressed reporters and conveyed his gratitude to the Omar-led government for taking this significant step. He emphasized that while the resolution’s passage is a notable achievement, the struggle for J&K’s special status is far from over. “The fight won’t stop here,” he asserted.

Mehdi highlighted that the majority of the assembly members were in favor of the resolution, showcasing broad support for the cause. He also took the opportunity to criticize the BJP, urging them not to lecture the government about the Speaker’s conduct. “We have seen how the Speaker in the Parliament treats us,” he remarked, pointing out perceived inconsistencies in the BJP’s stance.
