Says No Student at Fault; Admissions Secured on Merit
By: Javid Amin | 25 November 2025
The Sangharsh Samiti has directly blamed the Shrine Board for the escalating controversy surrounding admissions at the newly established medical college, arguing that the issue has been mismanaged at the administrative level rather than being caused by students.
Samiti: “Students Are Not to Blame”
In a strongly worded statement, the Samiti clarified that the dispute “cannot and should not be linked to any student,” asserting that all those admitted to the college had earned their seats through proper channels and transparent procedures.
According to the group, the students had no role in the alleged irregularities, and any fault lies squarely with the mechanisms and authorities overseeing the admission process.
“The admitted candidates followed all rules, secured merit-based positions, and completed required formalities. The controversy is a result of mismanagement by the Shrine Board—not the students,” the Samiti noted.
Allegations Against Shrine Board
The organisation accused the Shrine Board of:
-
Mishandling the admission process
-
Failing to ensure regulatory compliance
-
Creating confusion through inconsistent communication
-
Allowing procedural lapses that triggered the ongoing dispute
The Samiti said the administrative setup put in place by the Shrine Board lacked clarity and proper oversight, ultimately leading to the conflict now drawing public and political attention.
Students Caught in the Crossfire
The Sangharsh Samiti stressed that students must not be victimised, penalised, or publicly targeted for errors they did not commit.
They warned that students’ academic futures were at risk due to decisions taken by authorities, calling on the administration to safeguard the interests of all affected candidates.
Call for Urgent Resolution
The Samiti urged the relevant authorities to immediately:
-
Address procedural discrepancies
-
Hold responsible officials answerable
-
Provide clarity to students and parents
-
Ensure uninterrupted continuation of academic sessions
They emphasised that a swift resolution was critical to prevent further unrest and uncertainty.
Background of the Dispute
The controversy stems from concerns raised over the admission criteria and procedures used at the new medical college. Questions were raised regarding the Shrine Board’s role in overseeing the institution, prompting protests, demands for transparency, and calls for corrective measures.
While the details of the alleged irregularities are still under scrutiny, the Samiti maintained that the administrative shortcomings—not student actions—triggered the crisis.
