Mirwaiz Umar Farooq: Results message against Art 370 abrogation Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, the chairman of the Hurriyat Conference, has emphasized that the results of the recent Jammu and Kashmir assembly elections serve as a clear and unequivocal message against the central government’s unilateral decision to abrogate Article 370 in 2019. He highlighted that the people of Jammu and Kashmir have expressed their strong disapproval of the drastic changes imposed upon them. In the recently concluded elections, the voters sent a unanimous and resolute message that they will resist any attempts to subjugate and disempower them. Through their consolidated ballot, they registered their strong disapproval of the unilateral changes made in August 2019.
