Police Arrests Cyber Stalker
Srinagar, Dec 31: Police on Monday arrested a cyber stalker who was harassing a girl by putting objectionable contents on the internet.
Police had received a complaint from a girl that she was being persecuted by some cyber stalker, who was disseminating obscene material and comments against her in cyberspace. “The youth resides in Srinagar. He was running a fake facebook account under the name “waseemdarokhil@yahoomail.com” on yahoo platform.
A case FIR number 90/2012 under Section 66 Information Technology Act has been registered in police station, Shaheed Gunj. The investigating team cracked the accounts and arrested the accused,” police said.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Srinagar, Syed Aashiq Hussain Bukhari confirmed arrest of a youth in the case.
