Jammu and Kashmir finished Day one at 274 for eight thanks to a resilient hundred by Parvez Rasool at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamsala on Thursday.

J&K’s innings received an early setback with Shubham Khajuria getting dismissed for just eight runs thanks to P Jaswal. Reshi was the next batsman to be dismissed for 45 by Dhawan with J&K at 77. Paras Sharma was dismissed shortly after for 23 runs by Vashisht with J&K at 89.
After that dismissal Rasool stitched 77 run partnership with Chauhan. Bandeep Singh was dismissed for 13, while Samad went for a duck.
Ram Dayal was dismissed for 14 by B Sharma and tail-ender Waseem Raza scored 13 runs before NR Gangta got him bowled. The impressive feature of Rasool’s knock was the manner in which he batted with the tail. He encouraged them to take singles and capitalized whenever he could on bad balls by hitting boundaries. He even got to his hundred with a four.
