Travel trade bodies urge for Kashmir promotion

With tourism promotional plans after the floods coming to a grinding halt, the travel and trade bodies met Governor N N Vohra and put forth a charter of demands for projecting Kashmir tourism potential at national and international level.
The travel trade bodies demanded promotional activity at all metro cities with road shows and electronic and print media campaign.
The delegation urged Governor to suggest Tourism Minister, GoI for publicity through Incredible India, besides release of MDA to their members viz-a-viz financial relief for upgradation of their units which have been damaged due flood.
The Governor has also been requested to release financial support in view of business losses for the last five months.
Those present in the meeting were Presidents / Chairmen of TASK, TAAK, JKTA, AKTO, UTAA, J&K PILTOF, TTIG, ATOAK, DTOAK & three National Chapters such as TAAI, IATO & ADTOI.
