BJP working on plan to root out Muslims from Jammu

Forum led by the veteran Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Gilani has expressed deep concern over the forcible occupation of land belonging to the Muslim community in Jammu division. It has termed the action as a glaring example of the pursuit of RSS agenda in Kashmir.

The forum spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar said that the BJP was considering Jammu division as its conquered area and had started harassing the Muslims of the region in every possible way. The forum said that the BJP was working on a plan to root out Muslims from the division. The spokesman said that somewhere the Muslim land was declared as forest property and elsewhere it was being vacated on other pretexts. This new situation, he added, has terrorized the Muslim population in the Jammu division.

Hurriyet leaders, Muhammad Yousuf Naqash and Abdul Ahad Parra in their separate statements said that Sangh Parivar had launched an onslaught against Muslims of the occupied territory from all sides. They urged people to remain cautious about the wicked plans of RSS in Jammu and Kashmir.

The Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front Vice Chairman, Showkat Ahmad Bakhshi before courting arrest along with many other party activists in Srinagar, today, said that the puppet authorities were promoting violence by squeezing political space in the territory. Prior to courting arrests as part of ongoing Jail Bharo campaign, JKLF leaders and activists gathered at Sara-i-Bala in Srinagar and marched towards Amira Kadal Bridge. Those who courted arrest were shifted to Central Jail in Srinagar.
