Violent clashes in south Kashmir’s Kulgam; Beacon vehicle torched
The protesters torched a vehicle of Beacon on Srinagar-Jammu highway near Wanpoh in Khudwani area of Kulgam in South Kashmir, even as police resorted to aerial firing to quell the protests, witnesses said.
Many other vehicles have been damaged in violent protests that have been going on the area since yesterday over the killing of a civilian in firing by government forces.
Amid a complete shutdown, angry youth took to streets and hurled rocks at the forces who responded with aerial firing and tear smoke shells.
The clashes were going on at several places at the time of filing of this report.
