Forum warns Sangh Parivar against anti-Muslim plots in Jammu
The forum led by the veteran Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Gilani, condemning the vandalizing and smashing of windowpanes of dozens of vehicles and residential houses in Srinagar on Eid day by Indian paramilitary and police has said that a damage to the property worth millions of rupees has occurred on that day and the regime is yet to take any notice.
A spokesman for the forum in a statement in Srinagar said, “Whenever any untoward incident happens, the Indian forces target common people which is grave violations of the citizen rights.”
A delegation of the local people from affected Nawakadal and Safakadal areas of the city came to the office of the forum and complained that after Eid prayers a contingent of CRPF and police arrived in the areas and attacked many villages and destroyed whatever came in their way, the statement said. “The forces went berserk and broke down every window and windowpanes of the houses and vehicles. The locals said although property worth millions was damaged in the rampage but the authorities had not taken any notice,” the spokesman maintained.
Meanwhile, the forum strongly condemning the burning of a flag with Kalima Tayyaba written on it by some miscreants in Rajouri said that since the BJP backed regime came into power in the territory, the mischievous activities against the Muslims in the Jammu region had increased to the alarming level and they were being harassed on one pretext or the other. “If this process is not stopped and hatching of conspiracies against the Jammu Muslims are not stopped, it will have serious consequences and a strong reaction will came to fore against it in the Kashmir Valley,” the statement warned.
“RSS, BJP and other affiliated parties of Sangh Parivar treat Jammu region as their conquered territory and they are preparing for ethnic cleansing of the Muslims in this region,” it added.
The statement deplored that the puppet Chief Minister, Mufti Sayeed, is looking unconcerned with this situation and has practically left the Jammu region on the mercy of communal forces. “Mufti Sayeed is only concerned with his chair and has nothing to do with the miseries of the Jammu Muslims,” it stated. However, the statement said that the forum would not leave the Jammu Muslims alone and will stand by them whenever they will need. In this regard at first stage a data collection movement will be started there in relation to the situations of the Jammu region and the conspiracies of the communal forces against the Muslims of the region will be exposed and brought to the notice of the general public, it added.
