One killed in Kashmir cloudburst
At least one person was killed after a cloudburst struck in central Kashmir’s Budgam district this evening, official said.
“The cloudburst has occurred in Chanz area near Doodhpatri tourist place in Budgam this evening. One person has been killed,” Deputy Commissioner of Budgam Altaf Ahmad Mir told PTI.
The identity of the deceased is yet to be ascertained, he said.
“Our teams have reached the area and are monitoring the situation. Further details awaited,” he said.
He said the area is a pasture and people take their livestock there for grazing.
