58 govt employees suspended for dereliction of duty
As many as 58 government employees were placed under suspension after they were found absent from duty in Budgam district of central Kashmir, officials said today.
Deputy Commissioner, Budgam, Mir Altaf Ahmed, inspected various departments, including Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution, Education, and Employment Department, yesterday and found 58 employees absent, an official spokesman said.
He said the Deputy Commissioner directed action under the rules of law against the absentees.
Ahmed also directed the officials of the district administration to ensure attendance of the employees and called for redressal of public grievances.
