Minister for tough action against encroachers
In a move to take tough action against encroachers, Minister for Revenue Javaid Mustafa Mir today conducted extensive tour of the Chowdi, Mishira walla and Birpur area of Jammu and Samba districts.
He directed the officials to deal firmly w4ith encroachers, as encroaching upon public land was a criminal offence.
During his surprise visit to Chowdi, Mishira walla and Birpur, Mir took serious note of encroachments on nullahs and khuds and directed the Jammu and Samba deputy commissioners to immediately remove encroachments and submit land record of the area within two days so that further action against land mafia and delinquent officials could be taken.
Mir further instructed both deputy commissioners to submit all conversion permissions and land records of banquet halls and other such infrastructure in these areas.
He also paid a surprise visit to the SDM and Tehsil Office, Vijaypur, and directed the staff to maintain punctuality.
