Muslims will have to solve their own problems : Sheikh Hussain Yee

Muslims will have to solve their own problems - Sheikh Hussain YeeProminent Islamic scholar Sheikh Hussain Yee today said the Muslims across the globe would themselves have to find solutions to their problems.
“To come out of problems and issues which the Muslim community is besieged with, the only way out is that we rely on Allah and fear him only. The Muslims will have to find out the solutions of their problems themselves,” Yee said while addressing the Friday congregation at Jamia Masjid in old Srinagar city.
“…if Muslims practice the commandments of the Koran and obey Allah in real terms, their problems will get solved themselves,” he added. Yee expressed sorrow over the situation in Kashmir.
“When this nation will start trusting Allah and show steadfastness in their objectives, success will touch their feet,” he said.
Amid pro-freedom slogans at the mosque, chairman of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference Mirwaiz Umar Farooq said the government was frequently interfering in religious affairs.
“They (government) did not allow many international Muslim scholars to address this religious gathering. This is the ugly face of religious aggression,” the Hurriyat chairman said, adding that they are frequently restricted from offering the Friday prayers in Jamia Masjid.
Mirwaiz said the Muslim leaders have the responsibility to preach and educate people about Islam so as to make them politically aware and mature.
After the religious gathering, a group of youth assembled outside the mosque in the Nowhatta area and displayed pro-militant banners. However, there was no clash in Nowhatta today.
