Govt urged to move cautiously while dealing with Kashmir Issue: Patnitop conclave

Talks with separatists - BJP to set agenda at Patnitop meetThe Union government has been urged to move cautiously in dealing with the vexed Kashmir issue because any wrong decision at this crucial juncture would prove to be disastrous for the nation.
This observation was made during the first day of the two-day conclave of the India Foundation, which began in the Patnitop area of Ramban district today.
As many as 80 intellectuals, inclined towards the BJP and Sangh Parivar, are attending the conclave of the India Foundation — a pro-BJP think tank, comprising journalists, thinkers and intellectuals.
Sources said the intellectuals participating in the conclave thoroughly discussed various issues confronting the nation, including Kashmir. While discussing Kashmir, the participants made it a point that J&K was the core of nationalist ideology so the government should deal with the issue very cautiously.
Participants suggested that nationalist forces should not be demoralised while taking any decision on initiating dialogue with separatists or any faction of the Hurriyat Conference. They suggested that Jammu and Ladakh regions of the state, which were equal stakeholders, should to taken on board before initiating any step in the dialogue process.
Sources said in the presence of RSS joint general secretary Dattatreya Hosabale, BJP’s national general secretary Ram Madhav, who was instrumental in the formation of the PDP-BJP government in J&K, threw light on the “Agenda of Alliance” — the document for running the coalition government in the state.
Along with Dattatreya Hosabale, RSS J&K Prant Pracharak Ramesh Pappa, attended the first day of the conclave. Both top RSS leaders will attend all eight sessions of the conclave in which agenda will be set to move forward in engaging dialogue with some groups of the Kashmir valley, including separatists.
Union Minister for Textiles Smriti Irani and BJP national general secretary Ram Madhav also attended the inaugural session. After attending the first two sessions, Irani returned to Delhi.
