Hurriyat leaders making fortunes on youth’s blood: Muzaffar Hussain Baig

Baig alleged that the separatists were getting “VIP treatment and facilities which are not even given to a member of parliament.”

Senior Peoples Democratic Party leader and Member Parliament Muzaffar Hussain Baig on Monday hit out at Hurriyat leaders for “making fortunes on the blood of young boys in Kashmir through politics of deceit.”
“These Hurriyat leaders don’t remember that they will have to account for their deeds one day. They remain unaffected since those killed and blinded are children of others,” Baig said, addressing a party workers’ convention to mark the beginning of election campaign for the upcoming parliamentary by-polls to Srinagar-Budgam seat.
Baig alleged that the separatists were getting “VIP treatment and facilities which are not even given to a member of parliament.”
“I crave for such facilities as an MP,” Baig said. “I crave for the facilities which these Hurriyat leaders enjoy when they travel to different parts of India and the special treatment that they get at AIIMS.”
The PDP leader castigated the separatists for “provoking Kashmiri youth to come out of their homes and pelt stones on forces.”
Hailing the PDP President and Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti for giving candidature to Nazir Ahmad Khan from Srinagar Parliamentary seat, Baig said: “Only a youth can understand pain of the youth.”
Talking about the development works undertaken by the present Government in all three regions of the State, Baig said the Government has embarked upon a developmental plan which would foster growth and progress during the upcoming years. “If the situation continues to remain peaceful between India and Pakistan, we will implement our developmental as well as political agenda for resolving Kashmir,” he said.
