Sinha-led team arrives on ‘Mission Kashmir’

Senior BJP leader and former Union Finance Minister Yashwant Sinha arrived here on Wednesday while others members of Concerned Citizens Group (CCG) led by him will arrive on a two-day visit to Kashmir on Thursday.
Sinha arrived in Srinagar today.
He said Kapil Kak (retired Air Vice marshal), Bharat Bhushan (Editor Catch News) and Sushobha Barve head of Centre for Dialogue and Reconciliation would arrive tomorrow.
Sinha said the visit was part of their efforts to continue working for peace and dialogue in Jammu and Kashmir.
“We will meet a lot of people during our two days stay in Valley. The meeting will take place on August 17 and 18,” Sinha said.
The group had met mainstream and Hurriyat leaders and civil society members during their visit to Kashmir in October last year amid unrest.
The group had last year visited the Valley amid over five-month long unrest following killing of Hizbul Mujahideen commander Burhan Wani in an encounter with forces on July 8, 2016.
