Traders protest against lockdown of Jamia Masjid, Mirwaiz house detention

Scores of traders from Downtown Srinagar were on Thursday joined by representatives of various trade and business bodies to protest against the barring of Friday prayers, continuous house detention of Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and repeated imposition of curfew in the area.
The traders were joined by representatives of Kashmir Traders and Manufacturers Forum (KTMF) during their sit-in protest against the continuous lockdown of Jamia Masjid and Shaher-e-Khaas.
The protesting traders were demanding an end to lockdown, release of Mirwaiz and lifting of siege from Jamia Masjid where prayers have been barred during past six weeks.
