Mehbooba Mufti launches Mirchi FM Radio in Jammu

Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti has stressed on honing the talent of youth of the state and addressing their issues through more interactions and engagements.
Addressing a function after launching the Jammu station of Radio Mirchi 98.3 FM here today, the chief minister, according to an official spokesperson, said the youth of the state possess ample talent but the only problem is of its display and marketing. She hoped the new FM station would become a platform for showcasing this talent.
Mehbooba Mufti also highlighted the importance of addressing the urgent issues of youth like drug addiction and unemployment. She sought more interactive sessions for the purpose whereby youth could discuss these issues freely and solicit counseling.
According to a statement issued by the Times Group, the owner of Radio Mirchi, the chief minister on the occasion said: “I am extremely happy that a national FM brand of such repute has started operations in Jammu. I am sure it is only a matter of time before Mirchi becomes a part of the social and cultural fabric of this beautiful city. I wish them the very best.” “The RJs who will host the shows on Mirchi 98.3 were introduced to the audience during the launch. The bubbly RJ Shwetima and the dashing RJ Nishant promised to keep the listeners in Jammu entertained with their on-air antics,” reads the press statement of the Mirchi.
“Mirchi’s Jammu playlist will comprise 70% Bollywood & 30% Punjabi music – providing listeners with the best of both worlds.”
