Fog engulfs Jammu city, disrupts Rail, Air traffic
Foggy weather conditions affected the rail and air traffic in Jammu today.
Nearly 10 trains were running behind schedule, while all Jammu-bound flights in the morning were delayed due to poor visibility on the Jammu airport runway, subjecting passengers to hardships.
Official sources said all major trains were running behind the schedule by two to five hours due to poor visibility. “Hemkunt Express was running an hour late, while Shalimar Express was late by two hours. Amarnath Express and Tata Muri were running late by more than five hours. Malwa Express, train from Jammu Tawi to the Indore junction, was moving late by four hours,” the sources said.
Similarly, several other trains were running late by two to three hours, inconveniencing passengers, particularly Vaishno Devi pilgrims, in cold weather.
The sources said all Jammu-bound flights were delayed by one or two hours in the morning due to dense fog.
