Article 370 a bridge between Kashmir & India: Mehbooba Mufti
Jammu & Kashmir: Jammu & Kashmir Chief Minister and People’s Democratic Party (PDP) chief Mehbooba Mufti said that that the article 370 which bestows special position to the state, is the basis of state’s affiliation to India.
According to the party, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has written in ‘Agenda of Alliance’ that it will not talk of removing article 370. Speaking at a foundation ceremony of Passport Seva Kendra here the vice president of PDP Sartaj Madani told the media persons that Indians should think and understand that if Jammu and Kashmir has a relationship with India, it is on the basis of article 370. I don’t know where their mind is when they talk of removing article 370, he said. He added, article 370 is a bridge between Jammu & Kashmir and India if you talk of removing it, where will be the affiliation?
Mr Madani said PDP has come into existence for the political solution to Kashmir issue. He informed that Mehbooba Mufti has appealed people to give them a chance, they will try their best to solve the issue.
